I'm an Anti-Spurs fan

It's easy for me to root against the Spurs.
They're always on top of the Western Conference.
They play hard to watch, slow, boring basketball.
Tim Duncan always cries over foul calls.
They consistently bounce the Nuggets out of the playoffs.
And they employ 2 of my most hated players: Bruce Bowen and Robert Horry.

But last night sealed yet even another reason to hate the Spurs.

They're the antagonist of the West, just like the Pistons are the Antagonist of the East.

At least the other good teams in the West are fun to watch, Dallas, Phoenix, Golden State, LAL, Sactown, and even Utah and Houston. Who wants to watch the Spurs? Who actually enjoys watching Ginobili?

All of you guys out there that used to give me crap about have Divac in Sactown and how he's terrible, now we can agree that Ginobili is worse.

Going into these playoffs i didn't really have a team to root for, besides the Nuggets and the Raptors, but i knew neither of them had a chance. Now i'm a Suns fan, and if they lose, i'll be a Jazz fan, then i'll be....a baseball fan.

Seriously, did you see the dirty play by the King/Nugget killer Robert Horry? Have you seen the collection of dirty plays by Bruce Bowen (here against Nash, Anthony Parker, Steve Francis, Vince Carter, Ray Allen, Jamal Crawford, Amare, and more). Bowen is the NBA's version of Marco Materazzi (you know, the guy in the World Cup that got headbutted by Zidane).

And Nash, well, i wasn't really a fan before but that dude is amazing, he's a warrior. The dude has a motor that doesn't stop. And the way Amare plays is awesome. He's got this chip on his shoulder and i love it, totally enjoys dunking all over Timmy.

Anyway, I'm rooting for the Suns no question, even though i do admit that Duncan is, if not, one of the best players of the last decade.

Thanks BMer,
Now that your rooting for the Suns, they will lose. And what a disgrace if Amare is suspended for stepping on the floor.

i know, i read that they might suspend him and i thought that was wrong, the Spurs should be punished, not the Suns.

We'll see what happens, this is a true chance for Stern to either be the best Commish or the worst.

well, . . they had to do it. Either do it or change the rules (which I think they should). But, it would've made them hypocrits if they would've let it go.

Warriors need a win tonight

really? did Amare really do anything wrong. Wouldn't we all be saying "why didn't amare stand up for Nash?" if he didn't get up.

i mean, these players are passionate and want to stand up for their teammates.

the rules must be changed

they pretty much just ruined the best playoff series ever

I don't get into basketball, but I would love to watch these guys play a game of hockey. I love the discrepancies between the definitions of "dirty play." I propose a Spurs/Red Wings (the dirtiest, ugliest hockey team of them all, especially now that they have Bertuzzi) match-up.
