sorry i haven't posted in awhile, i didn't feel i had to write much about the Superbowl, there were already a plethora of articles written by everyone else. I had the Colts, and i don't really think there was any doubt it was gonna be the Colts. Rex Grossman just isn't a superbowl QB.
anyway, this weekend is a great weekend, NBA All Star weekend. My favorite all star game is this one, followed by the MLBA game, but the MLS All Star game is slowly becoming really fun to watch too. anyway, back on topic.
So its' saturday morning, last night i taped the Rookie/Soph. game and i'm watching it now and i gotta say, i love this game. Derron Williams got a total snub from the regular all star game.
Derron Williams should have beeen voted in during the initial voting, then you have Yao, Iverson, Nash, Boozer all go down with injuries and Williams still doesn't get in? I totally agree with Melo and Josh Howard (who's awesome) getting in, but then Okur and Ray Allen? What has Ray Allen done this year? What's Okur without Williams? Selecting Ray Allen is weak, i hate that.
Why do i care? well, somehow i've managed to become a fan of players who seemed to get snubbed. i've never really liked the big marquee players, KG, Kobe, Duncan... but ya know, players from Sacramento, Denver, Memphis and small market teams. Therefore, the players i like in the last few years get snubbed.
Mike Bibby
Marcus Camby
Carmelo Anthony
Derron Williams
can you believe that Bibby has never been an all star?? that retarded. i know this year he's having a bad season, but this kid was on Team USA, and he's carried the Kings the last few years and can't make the team? Does Ray Allen really deserve a spot, he does one thing, and one thing well, Shoot.
and act
and he's nice
but thats lame, Derron should be in.
Tonite, i hoping that Jason Kapono owns the 3-point contest and i'm not really stoked for the dunk contest, though it will be interesting to see what Dwight Howard comes up with, he doesn't seem very agile and he's huge.
The only event i skip on NBA All Star weekend: the All Star Game.
